Shower Tile Installation in Vancouver
Shower tile installation in Vancouver, built as a waterproofed assembly rather than tile over hope. Schluter KERDI membranes, slopes that actually drain, niches and benches that land on grout lines, and glass that sits on a joint instead of cutting across a tile.

Homes we work in around Vancouver
Vancouver runs from 1910s character homes on the west side to glass towers downtown, with a century of housing in between, and the tile work changes with every decade of construction.
Showers in character homes in Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant and Dunbar, along with the 1960s and 70s Vancouver Specials across the east side, were mostly built on mortar beds or greenboard, and by now the water has usually found its way in. We open the wall, check the framing and subfloor for damage, and rebuild the shower as a complete system so the new tile is protected for decades rather than a few years.
New builds along the Cambie Corridor, laneway houses, and the rebuilt lots in Dunbar and Kerrisdale ask for showers at architectural scale: curbless entries, linear drains, floor-to-ceiling large-format porcelain and full slab walls. The waterproofing and the slope are planned before the framing closes so the drain, the tile grid and the glass all resolve together.
In the downtown and Yaletown towers and the older wood-frame condos in Kitsilano and Fairview, a failed shower means a claim from the unit below. We build showers in strata buildings with a full membrane, tested for leaks before tile goes on, and we manage the elevator, noise and common-area rules so the building stays on side.

FAQ
Common questions in Vancouver.
Can you rebuild a shower that's leaking in Vancouver?
Yes, and it's the most common shower call we get. A leaking shower almost always failed beneath the tile, so we rebuild the assembly rather than patch the surface. We'll show you what we find behind the wall before we close it up again.
How long does a shower tile installation take?
A standard walk-in shower usually runs five to eight working days from demolition to grouted tile, with the waterproofing cure and leak test built in. Curbless floors, natural stone and complex layouts run longer. The schedule is confirmed after the site visit.
Do you install the shower glass too?
We coordinate it. The glass installer measures after the tile is finished, and we plan the layout so the panel lands on a grout joint and the curb or floor is ready for it. You get one clean line where glass meets tile.
