North Vancouver homes work harder against moisture than almost anywhere else we install. That changes how we build: full waterproofing assemblies in every wet area, attention to ventilation transitions, and materials chosen for how they handle damp seasons, not just how they photograph.
The housing runs from postwar bungalows and split-levels in Lynn Valley, Norgate and Upper Lonsdale to new hillside builds in Edgemont, Deep Cove and Blueridge with floor-to-ceiling showers, and the mid-rises filling in around Lower Lonsdale. We’ve installed across all of it. Two of our featured projects are North Vancouver bathrooms: the curbless Calacatta wet room, with bookmatched marble folding into a chevron across the shower corner, and the large-format gray bathroom.
What we’re hired for on the North Shore
Shower tile installation leads. Older showers here were built on mortar beds and greenboard, and thirty rainy winters later the subfloor is soft. We open the wall, replace what’s gone, and rebuild the shower as a Schluter system that’s tested before tile. Bathroom renovations follow, often the full primary bathroom in a Lynn Valley split-level that’s on its original 1970s finishes.
The newer hillside homes bring custom tile installation: slab walls, bookmatched stone, mitred niches, and large-format porcelain floors that run through the main level. Kitchen renovations round it out, and we take commercial tile along Lonsdale and in the Shipyards.
Basement suites and below-grade work
A lot of North Vancouver homes carry a suite, and suite bathrooms sit on a slab. Slab moisture, drainage and the transition from a wet room to the rest of the suite all need planning before tile. We check the slab first and tell you what it needs.

Why does waterproofing matter more on the North Shore?
Moisture is a fact of life here. A shower assembly that tolerates sloppy waterproofing in a dry climate will fail faster in one that sees this much rain and humidity. We build wet areas as complete Schluter systems, not tile over hope.
Do you do basement suite bathrooms?
Often. Below-grade work means checking slab moisture and planning drainage properly before tile. We'll flag anything that needs attention from another trade before we start.
