Calacatta Wet Room

Curbless wet room with bookmatched Calacatta marble shower walls, a floating marble bench, a fully tiled linear-drain floor, and large-format porcelain throughout.

Scope

Curbless wet room with bookmatched Calacatta marble shower walls, a floating marble bench, a fully tiled linear-drain floor, and large-format porcelain throughout.

Materials

  • Bookmatched Calacatta marble slabs
  • Large-format porcelain floor tile
  • Linear trench drain
  • Schluter KERDI waterproofing membrane

Challenge

A curbless wet room leaves nowhere to hide a mistake — the bookmatched marble had to mirror precisely across the corner, the floor had to slope to a single linear drain without breaking the large-format grid, and every transition had to stay watertight.

Result

A curbless Calacatta wet room where the bookmatched veining reads as one continuous slab, the floor drains cleanly to a single linear channel, and the shower and tub share one uninterrupted porcelain floor.

Installation notes

What made the detail work.

01

Laid out the bookmatched slabs so the veining mirrors into a clean chevron across the shower corner.

02

Built and waterproofed a curbless floor pitched to a single linear trench drain.

03

Mitered the floating marble bench and detailed the wall-to-floor transitions for tight, even joints.
